Cook County property owners can take advantage of a new feature to pay their 2016 second installment taxes, which are due by August 1, 2017. A PDF copy of your property tax bill can now be downloaded and used when paying in person, by mail, or at a participating bank location.
Previously, when the original Cook County tax statement was lacking, a duplicate bill had to be first obtained from the Treasurer's Office and subsequently presented with appropriate funds to fulfill the payment requirement when an online disbursement was not selected.
Cook County's new electronic billing program promotes the delivery of future tax bills via email and online payments through any computer, smart phone, or tablet.
This new efficient tax bill retrieval option has won endorsement from Cook County taxpayers. In fact, it has already expedited the POER tax approval process for clients, who rely on us to Secure, Audit, and Transmit (SAT) their tax bills for timely and correct payments.
